Ristorante Da Valentino + Hungry Heroes + Sin Lee Foods + Sacha and Sons+ Concetto by Saveur + Rise Restaurant Mbs

This is a really really really boring saturday night so I decided to finish up some overdued posts so I can continue with my korea travelogues soon, sorry for being so lazy guys T.T

current mood: PMS i swear or something, cause usually I am pretty optimistic but right now I just feel like no one cares about me yadayada hahahahaha T.T I feel like I have no life all those bad emotions. HAIS or Maybe I am just hungry cause food makes me happy and I have been having supper for the past few days and today I am trying not to have supper so IM FEELING A LITTLE CRANKY N STARVING.

alright i should stop with my rants and try giving myself some positive vibes cause my tickets to japan in may has finally been booked. *claps* I swear only traveling gives me my excitement these days. And I feel like going to bali or some other place as well, cause Singapore is too boring. like seriously..

//edited LOL okay i swear im hopeless, just returned home from supper at bedok.. so I'm feeling slightly abit better now so i can finally stop procrastinating blog seriously hahahaha

just when I just returned from korea, had the chance to finally try this very convenient & affordable french based outlet in town with casey! (& since I was getting so sick of asian cuisine as well..)

Concetto by Saveur

Tel: +65 67351141
Opening Hours: 12:00 – 9.15pm (Sun-Mon), 12:00 – 9.30pm (Tues-Sat)

Our starters -
Grilled Octopus Caesar Salad ($11.90)
grilled octopus served with baby romaine, crispy bacon, shaved parmesan and tossed in anchovy dressing, pretty refreshing and unique way of serving their egg so minced!

Carbonara ($12.90)
Fettucine with a cream sauce flavoured with onion and bacon, served with confit pork belly & sous-vide egg

Crab Risotto ($13.90)
Arborio rice cooked in shellfish broth & crab meat, served with crab meat tartare, brussel sprouts & crispy rice crackers
(basically i thought that the pastas were better here because this risotto I had here is decent but wait till I recommend you guys one of the best risottos i ever had in sg in awhile! so the risotto here can't be compared uh hahaha)

Tiramisu ($10.90)
a la-minute composed, homemade sponge, mascarpone cream, tanariva chocolate mousse
very unique way of show-casing their tiramisu, one of the better tiramisu dessert I had in awhile, plus i'm not rly a fan of tiramisu but i'll happily eat this! hehe

verdict: will come back here again cause price is super affordable and enjoyable just like saveur ;)

Talking about italian cuisines, the other day I finally went to the grandstand area to try out of the most raved italian restaurant in SG! Jackie chan and many famous others dined here themselves! Many yummy food at the grandstand, but more convenient to drive in!

Ristorante Da Valentino
200 Turf Club Rd
#01-19 S(287994)

Opening hours:
Tue - Sun: 12 pm - 2.30 pm
Tue - Sun: 6 pm - 11.30 pm
Closed: Mon

better to reserve before going! most of the time they are fully booked~

my very lupsup ootd and hairstyle in a fine dining restaurant..

dinz w my parents finally aft a pretty long time..

complimentary italian bread with some green sauce which made (made up of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, parsley, garlic, anchovies, salt, pepper and some secret ingredients instead of the usual olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip) the bread taste 10x better. love this kind of bread soooo much fills up my tumz even before the mains hahaha

my dieting mom loves it too :*

Me with my
ABC Juice ($9.50)

n grams~

One of the best italian starters I ever had in this restaurant! Introducing their off menu item

Burrata Cheese Salad with cavier and tomatoes ($35.90)
rly rly love this alot even tho the cheese is like italian branded cheese because everything went super well together.

Prosciutto Melon ($27.90)
Very unique and refreshing combi of thinly sliced parma ham + honeydew. Me luv even tho sounds very easy to prepare at home hahaha!!! these two starters changed my life!

Risotti Porcini ($28.90)
Prolly one of the BEST risottos I have eaten my entire life, even tho its like mushroom based and vegetarian.

Chef Valentino slicing those truffles which cost me a BOMB no wonder I was thinking why the chef so nice come out all to shave those few slices of thingy hahhaha and the service that night was so excellent at our table

those thinly sliced few grams of white truffles (should be 14g) cost me 175 bucks. LOL. But its also one of the items Valentino is popular for. You can add them to your rissottos & pizzas there if you feel like shitting gold the next day hahaha. Like basically I never knew truffle was so expensive, like truffle-truffles not truffle-oil-truffle.

But oh well, got to try stuff like this at least once before you die right. and this risotto with truffles is 6 times more expensive than the main it was laying on, was perfect.

Squid Ink Fettuccine with Crabmeat in Creamy Tomato Sauce ($29.90)
Hype over all instagram check-ins were this, but I don't see why the risotto didn't get as much spotlight compared to this. but its not bad la! Not the squid-ink saucy pasta which stains your teeth.

Had another seasonal item
some big fish from the mediterranean seas ($178) which was soooo fresh and good as well.

waiters will pick out all the bones for you I swear.

pretty good broth and potatoes and other ingredients which comes with the fish.

Ended the meal with a Coppa Pistachio ($15.50)

Tartufo Cioccola ($15.50)
some cocca ice-creamy dessert but the desserts didn't really appeal much to me here to be honest.

very wonderful experience I had here with my family maybe cos of the amount we spent but I overall loved the ambience and service and food they serve *.* Will be back!

took back some of the homemade macarons from the restaurant and one of the flavours was even truffle flavoured LOL!

Another one of the days went to have my belated birthday treat from one of my best bros jj~

Finally had the chance to try this newly opened and super cool themed superhero cafe near farrer park MRT!

Hungry Heroes
33 Tessensohn Road
Singapore 217656
Tel: +65 6295 5401

Opening hours:
Monday to Friday: 4pm – 12am
Saturday: 11am – 12am
Sunday: 11am – 11pm

love love love the interiors so avid superhero fans should rly head down for a visit!

Place is pretty good to chill as well with their happy hour promo going on and their menu is full of very cool flavoured beers and ciders which I love *.*

Wanted to try the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar beer intially but seems like it was a very popular choice so could only make do with Rogue Mocha Porter beer ($14). Unfortunately the latter is nothing worth raving about.

But this cider on the other hand
Alska Strawberry and Lime ($15)
was rly good me and j was snatching for it hahahahaa love sweet ciders *.*

Deep Fried Luncheon Chips ($5)
Simple but yumz in my opinion even though this can be easily fried at home hahaha

They have a variety of platters but we decided to go with two simple mains.
I had the
Meat Fury's Signature Pork Ribs ($18 half-rack/ $34 full-rack)

and J had
Beef Tenderloin ($32 Regular / $42 Large)
I think their fries are nicer than their roasted potatoes but i liked their pork ribs more than their tenderloin!

very enjoyable dinner with my best bro so thanks for the treat! :D Good place with reasonable prices for normal steaks as you pay for the very Instagram worthy theme of the restaurant!

had a tai-parfait treat later on as well cos I am a pig like dat and llaollao's queue was insane :(

Jon's 21st birthday at V5 with all of mai bros of 4/5 years *.*

group shot with all of the guys cos I am a tomboy like that. Sean, ben, jon, aaron, sc, marcus, ritz, jikun & junjie!

high with my botak brudder JONNY ^^

SC & jon :)

with sean~

and j! GONE

ben~

no recollection of much shit hahahaha

Finally had the chance to meet my MIA twin after school one of the days as well to go cafe hopping.
She's kinda having quite a rough patch now, so I hope everything will get better for her cause I know we barely have the time to meet each other nowadays but no matter what you know you still have me at the end of the day heh ILY ok! stay strong xx

cabbing everywhere I swear cos school is so far from everywhere and public transports lol

Finally a unique themed food menu from a cafe since cafes are so mainstream nowadays with all similar brunch menus I can't.

Sin Lee Foods
Blk 4 Jalan Bukit Ho Swee
#01-164 Singapore 162004

Opening Hours: 10am – 9pm (Tues-Sun),
Closed Mon except PH

pretty twin zyt

& yours truly

Coconut Slushie ($9)
puuurfect for hot weather days and I love slushies!!

Aburi Broccoli Salad ($12)
worth ordering, very cool way of frying the broccolis in this dish.

Sweet Potato Fries ($12)
sweet potato fries with salted egg sauce whuttt

Sin Lee Fried Chicken Waffles ($21.90)
finally got to try a cafe's fried chicken waffle & this definitely did not disappoint! goes well with their homemade maple syrupy sauce surprisingly!

Beef & Grains ($24)
Looks the most worth ordering item on the menu but somehow this didn't appeal to me as much cause the grains (texture similar to pasta not rice) was kinda too salty & I am someone who can handle salt intakes relatively well and the beef was a little undercooked. But perhaps it was just for that day. so you can still consider giving this a try.

no service or gst charge - just the way we like it but as food menu is limited, don't see why we would return again despite the unique fusion of food they serve.

barefaced slack day to school (sorry my feed is so boring right now with just food all the time hahahaa)

had dinz at Rise Marina Bay Sands Restaurant, located at level 1 of Mbs tower 1.
complimentary breads and fruit juices just the way I like it.

and their Miso Cod fish was soooo good, like one of the better ones I have tasted like it literally melts in your mouth so you definitely have to order this!

overall food was super big in portions but of standard. Prawn aglio olio & Caeser salad.

food coma almost immediately. Have no idea how I went for my driving lessons after.

Louis's 21st at swissotel the stamford. Soooo many friend's 21st I have to attend this year, bank depleting i swearz.

Finally ending my post with one last food log hehehe good food recommendation thanks to conz~

Sacha & Sons
333A Orchard Road
#03-02 Mandarin Gallery
Singapore 238897
Tel: +65 67356961

Opening Hours:
9am – 9pm (Sun-Thurs),
9am – 10pm (Fri, Sat, Eve of PH)

Newly launched new york deli at Mandarin gallery. Great and slightly cheaper all day breakfast brunch place which is a great alternative from the ever so mainstream wild honey.

Sacha and Sons specialise in smoked pastrami, corned beef, roast beef & a selection of smoked fish, along with other iconic deli offerings like their own dill pickles, bagel, latkes, chopped liver (bleah), kugel (noodles in a cake format), and matzah ball soup. Kind of unique for singapore to offer.

Under their sandwhich tab, I had
Grilled Reuben - Pastrami with swiss cheese, sauerkraut, russian dressing
(150g reg $18, 240g large $24, 300g XL $35)
One of the better beef sandwiches (must order!) I have had other than the one at selfish gene slurps* chose the pastrami with brioche bread + pickles and colesaw btw.

Sacha & sons are famous for their bagels as well so we ordered their
Eggs with toasted Bagel - scrambled with smoked salmon, caramelised onions ($18)

Food is well catered for my tastebuds and affordable for Mandarin gallery so I am definitely going back to sacha & sons one of these days since i have finally understood their slightly complicated menu w loads of terms I couldn't comprehend initially hahahaha

finally finished this one hell of a tempting post. nothing much to do in sg except to eat rly, suddenly I am not so guilty about eating supper prior to blogging this post or I wonder how could I survive looking at my food images hahahaaha

shall end off this with a cab selfie with my fav twins and regina! Recently cabbing all dayz n everywhere w them, and hopefully be back soon with my korea posts & more foodie adventures soon! Hahaha

xoxo pinkyniakohz
