Valentine's Day 2016 + Brasserie Gavoche + Milk & Honey + Chaiwalla & Co (JB) + Ginza Tendon Itsuki

Hi guys! I'm back for a short update! :) Dressing up for vday 2016 makes the perfect outfit compliment well with classy timepieces which you guys should check out! :) These Danish Design watches will go well with any kind of elegant outfit you can pair with especially for occasions like these~

With that, let me continue with our first Valentines Day together as well as my first celebrated V day in my life post hehehe.

Settled for some french food cause the place we initially booked was cancelled last min & it was a sunday so most restaurants we wanted wasn't open? :( Luckily Brasserie Gavroche (apparently ranked as one of the top few bistros for french food in Sg!) opened on that sunday just for valentines & we managed to secure a last min reservation! 0.0!!

The danish design watches classy timepieces series would definitely go well with my simple top paired with classic black bags, shoes and shorts I was wearing that day :P

some complimentary starter cheese puff thing that they served thats super yummy!

fav part of these kinda restaurants, fragrant bread + butter!

Foie Gras Terrine (S$28)

French Onion Soup (S$16)
The usual must order soup in french restaurants.

Hanger Steak (S$34)
Both had our meats done in medium rare and both were so well cooked! Super beefilicious night. This even comes with roasted potato drenched with gravy and sauce.

Ribeye Steak & Frites (S$48)
super yum as well, accompanied by some bearnaise sauce~ And a huge amount of fries!!

Bill came up to around $160, thanks bfee for the treat :) really enjoyed the food here!

complimentary heart shape macaroons on vday~

Third party will hates in our relationship: Ma phone hehe

unglam picture to end of this pleasant evening :) many years to come my dear!

I LOVE YOU TOO ^^

Finally tried Milk & Honey the other day when we sent william's friend off at Changi airport terminal 3 that day!
I guess this and llaollao are my favorite frozen yogurt to-go-to places for now, difference is llao llao is more towards customizing & fruits, while Milk & Honey has a wide variety of their unique signature parfaits to choose from for example my combo of

Milk & Honey - Artisan Yogurt & Dessert Bar
Honey Velvet
which i ordered that contains macaroon, red velvet cake (?!) in it, cereals, honey sauce and chocolate. Hits the spot and its perfect if you aren't sure if you are craving for some sweet pastries/frozen desserts!

Dates with wills

Brought him to try my fav curry fish head in JB (Johor Bahru) during our day-trip there the other day!

Wanted to cafe hop at the areas with most cafe but the cafe I wanted to go to was closed -_- but luckily, the popular container cafe in JB was around the corner!

Chaiwalla & Co. Container Cafe
Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, Bandar Johor Bahru, 80000 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia
9.30 am - 10.30 pm

I guess they have a unique variety of drinks to choose from but we just chose thai milk tea to quench our thirst in the heat which tasted pretty common. Shall do more research on which flavors to order before I go there the next time (cos in JB no data to google)

so many cars in front & blocking the container cafe ...

Hiap Joo Bakery was also around the corner! Got their famous charcoal banana cakes to bring back to singapore! Usually don't like banana flavoured things but this is always good :)

Caught a movie (so cheap) at KSL & ended our trip with nandos (half of sg's prices) a trip to JB is always affordable and enjoyable :)

Finally tried the super popular Japanese Tendon restaurant which is the 1st of its kind to open in singapore! The queue is always pretty long, due to the limited seats of the shop but its really a value for money choice where you pay little(affordable) for quality food!!!

Super recommend this place & please be like me, reaching at 5.15pm on a weekday, hahaha first in queue, got a table to myself, no need squeeze at the counter heh.

Ginza Tendon Itsuki
101 Tanjong Pagar Road
Singapore 088522
Tel: +65 6221 6678
Opening Hours: 11:30am – 2:30pm, 5:30pm – 10pm

they only accept cash only & two choices of tendon sets:
Special Tendon ($13.90) - 2 piece prawns, 2 piece chicken, egg, 4 pieces of veg (I had like pumpkin, eggplant, mushroom and I forgot :P)
Vegetables Tendon ($12.90) - 8 kinds of veg

all set includes a miso soup, chanwanmushi & free flow chilled veg side, prices are not nett tho, but still cheap. & DAMN GOOD hahahaha

shall let the pictures do the talking :) & btw I guess prices are so cheap so usually japanese restaurants give free flow hot/cold tea, so we both ordered cold tea and it costs us $3.80 each!!! and not even free flow, just for one cup. x2 can pay for almost another set here -_-'' So the drinks here are not rly worth it to order okay just take ice water and not be like us! hahaha

yummmy

this is really good, beats the famous Daikokuya Tempura I had in tokyo which I blogged about!! so everyone please go and have it!!! :) I'll have it any other day :)

tempura egg oozing goodness !!

see the way I devour everything.

shall end off with a selfie with my pink & red roses still fresh after afew days :D
